For a while now I have been planning on converting to an electric car. I got a really good deal on a Probe GT. Now I could just go ahead and buy a conversion kit and put it all together and do what so many before me has done, with the same results. But I could never do that. If I am to take on a big project I have to push the envelope and do something no one has done before. And that was to do something that would in some way advance the technology of the electric car. And I am not an engineer of any sorts. What I am is a person with reasonable skills and intuition. I also believe that if the electric car is to actually dethrone the conventional combustion motor, it’s going to have to come from us. Detroit has too much to lose and not enough to gain. So having nearly two years of complete freedom from Arduous labor, I was able to focus my energies on solving the biggest limitation facing the electric car. Range. The obvious answer to range is more batteries, but there’s a problem, more batteries means more weight and more weight means more drag and more drag means less efficiency. The obvious solution was find a way to charge the batteries while in use. However you can not charge a battery while you’re discharging a battery. The obvious solution to this problem was to divide the battery pack into two separate battery packs. With one pack driving at a time, and this is nothing new people have been putting dual packs in for sometime now. The trick was finding a way to charge the packs while they’re offline. Solar is one option, but a 4ft solar panel will only return about half of the energy spent over the course of an hour. We can also harness kinetic energy and friction, and send that back to the batteries. But here lies another problem, to actually charge the battery, these sources have to produce enough voltage to push past the batteries natural resistance. In the case of a 12v battery you need about 14v to actually push past the resistance. Another inhibiting factor is time. How long does it take to charge the whole bank? To charge the batteries fast would take a lot of amperage. So I had toyed with the idea of running dual high out alternators, one shafted directly to the electric motor, and the other belted to the first. The Idea is to series the alternators together generating 300+ amps. Here’s the puzzler, on the bench it works, just as it logically should. However once all put together, there was too much drag, and too much convergence(energy lost due to heat) that hardly anything made it back to the batteries. So I was back to square one. I had spit in the eye of Thermodynamics, and paid the price. it took me a while to piece it all together, but here’s the problem, it’s the alternators themselves, and how they work. The alternator is made up of key components, the Rotor and the Stator coil. The stator coil is a tightly wound spool of copper wire. The rotor is a strong magnet, that spins inside the stator, creating a magnetic field in the stator, that is then converted to electric current. However, as every magnet has a north and south polarity. This will also create a counter motive force, this is caused by the convergence of the magnetic fields created by both north and south. Since the fields are opposing they attract and counter act each other, which essentially stops the rotor. So how do you overcome the counter motive force and keep the electromagnetic fields stabilized, long enough to charge the batteries. I had to finally admit defeat on this. As I could not see a way around. So far there was no seemingly way to actually charge the batteries while the car was moving, the best I could do was increase the range about 5 miles. But as I was completely and totally dejected and confused, I didn’t give up. It took me several months to break it all down and see where it went wrong. The problem was in the batteries themselves. While the technologies in the motor and the controllers and the electronics in general have grown exponentially, batteries have not. And they pose great environmental hazards, when they have reached the end of their service. So that’s when I decided that the batteries had to go. They cost far too much, they are cumbersome, and add too much weight to the car. They are essentially the Achilles heal of the electric car. What we need is a whole new idea of looking at energy storage. It was in one of those moments when my mind was completely on something completely unrelated, when it hit me. The whole solution to the problem was in the way the magnets and the coils interact. By understanding how the magnetic currents flow and how that flow interacts with the copper windings. So I hit up the ole reliable Youtube, and seen some little home-made projects, but nothing really substantial. Then it dawned on me Ed Leedskalnin had just what I needed. Flywheels. A Flywheel is an energy storage device. And Ed made himself an unbelievable one. It was all in understanding the magnetic flow. On Ed’s flywheel all the magnetic currents pushed into the center where they are channeled through copper plate, where it is converted to electrical current. Which is then drawn off the wheel through electrical wiring. What is strange is that this works because of the geometrical shape Ed formed the copper plating into. I am not quite sure of the significance of the six pointed star in Ed’s flywheel, but who am I to argue with Genius. So with Ed’s concepts I set out to build my own flywheel. I thought I would start small like all those youtube videos. Sorry I do not own a camera of any kind so I can to talk myself through describing the construction of the flywheel. I started with a pair of old CD’s. Mark one CD N. And the Other S. Then draw out the hours of the clock on each CD. Using extremely powerful rare earth bar magnets I paired up 24 for each CD. The Magnets I used for my first prototype had 58ft pounds of Magnetic force. Pairing them gives you 116 per pair. So watch your fingers you don’t want to get pinched pairing them up. Taking the CD marked North. Place the paired magnets on each hour line Going North/south. And similarly South/North on the CD marked S. Once the magnets were secured in their proper place and to their proper polarity, I tool some 1/2 wide copper plating and molded it into the six pointed star pattern that Ed Leedskalnin had used. Then I attached Copper to the CD’s. At this point it looks more like a Tesla Turbine than a flywheel. The Flywheel is mounted Vertically on an axis, within a plastic housing. Then I mounted four two-inch Iron ball bearings, one in each corner of the wheel so to speak. The bearing are mounted to spin on its axes much like Earth spins. The bearings need to be iron, or other composite that can be turned into an electromagnet. As the flywheel spins, its producing 48 non converging magnetic fields that are pushed down into the center of the wheel, there is it forced into the copper plating, converting it to electricity. And at a mere 3000rpm my one little flywheel is putting out 18volts continuous current. Now imagine how much more I’ll get when I series 6 more of these together?

In response to some of the hateful email’s I received over my post, “The Self Reliant American” I must have hit a cord with some ultra conservatives. And I usually don’t care what other people say, and well I still don’t care, it just gives me something to blog about. I’ve been called a hippy, an environmentalist, a liberal, etc. Yeah OK whatever I never really identify with a label or a closed off philosophy. I have also been called a leaching worthless determent to society. And that I have to refute, I spent over 22 years contributing to that society. These days, I contribute as little as possible, and take back even less. As I read about 15 comments all so hurtful that I had to remove them, not because of any personal attacks on my character or lifestyle, but for the attacks on whole groups of people who I have been unfairly grouped into. Unfair to me as well as those that do Identify with, the liberals, and the gays, and the Muslims. Thats when it dawned on me. These attacks are motivated by fear. Its fear that drives the debate against the mosque in New York. And do you all really want to set a president, of special interest controlling the rights of land owners? Are you prepared to have a church construction challenged like this? How much more of your freedoms are you going to sacrifice to your fears? How many more wars do we have to endure to appease your fears? And where does this irrational fear of everything come from? It comes from a generations of people raised under the threat of global annihilation by nuclear war. Our leaders pushed an agenda of fear, and we grew up under that blanket of fear, And being fearful makes it so much easier for them to pass laws like the patriot act, and openly spying on Americans on American soil. By instilling fear, and then dividing you against each other, it makes all that much easier for them to control you, and little by little they slowly take more and more of your rights away from you. And by the time you figured it all out, it’s far too late. There is nothing left for you to do but conform. When you break it all down there are really only two kinds of people on this planet. Those that live life, and those that run from it. If you run now, you will be running forever, and then everything you do, say and think will be ruled and controlled by that fear.
Born in a small village outside Riga Latvia on August 10th 1887. As legend has it Ed was engaged to be married to Agnes Scoff his sweet sixteen. Agnes called off the wedding the day before and soon after Ed left Latvia for the new world. Little is known of Ed’s life in Latvia, we know that his grandfather taught him to be a stone mason. He however winds up in a lumber mill in Canada. It’s here where Ed contracted Tuberculous. As his condition worsened he headed for better climates. We know in 1919 he makes it Florida. He meets a real-estate agent named Moser. Moser and his wife take Ed in and nursed him back to health. Ed claimed he was looking for just the right land. And he would know it when he found it. Moser took Ed around and showed him all the best available farm land, which Ed always rejected. His odd demeanor coupled with the way he would prod the prospected lands led people to speculate Ed was looking for buried treasure. Sometime in early 1922 Ed had found just the right land. To Moser it was the worse possible land in all of Florida. It was solid bedrock of fossilized coral. Ed was insistent and Bought the land for $12 dollars. With in a few weeks Moser and his wife came to check up on Ed and the first signs of Ed’s genius. On a simple chain hoist made of telephone poles, as an immense carved block of Coral, just hanging there perfectly level perfectly calm. And in no time Rock gate is built. If you haven’t seen Coral Castle or heard of Ed Leedskalnin Click here . or click here for the In Search Of episode of Coral Castle. Ed started work in 1922 and finished by 1928. Ed then for reasons only known to Ed, He disassembled Rock Gate and moved it stone by stone, 10 miles away to Homestead, where over the next 3 years he reassembled Rock Gate by 1940. In all the stones at Coral castle weigh a combined 3million pounds. A single wall stone weighs in greater than any single block of the great pyramids. Some of these wall Obelisks weigh over 30 tons. And for all the architectural achievements accomplished by a poor Latvian immigrant with a fourth grade education, is only a fraction of Ed Leedskalnin’s true genius. We may never know exactly how Ed did this all himself. But if we are going to try, we have to start with how Ed built his generator, and why it sounded like music when it ran? On the fly-wheel Ed installed 24 magnets in a six pointed start pattern. this way all poles north and south are pushing outward. If we picture how an alternator works inside maybe you will understand some of Ed’s genius. As the rotor spins inside the stator coil it is producing an electromagnetic field. It is also creating a counter force working against the rotor. So whats happening is the rotor is being stopped completely by this counter force, then restarted and stopped and the process is completely counter productive and highly inefficient. In his one of his pamphlets of magnetic currents Leedskalnin identified this fundamental flaw and a way to correct it. lets picture the rotor as a simple bar magnet, it has a north and south pole. So as the north pole of the magnet is pushed across the copper windings of stator, an electromagnetic field is created. This field is then reversed once the south pole of the magnet passes through the stator on the same path. The result is two equal fields of opposite polarity, and they cancel each other out. Causing the rotor to stop spinning and needing the constant kinetic energy from the crank shaft to keep it spinning. By Leedskalnin’s design all the magnetic fields are generated and pushed outward. In this way no two fields work against each other and no energy is lost in the field convergence. And once the fields were established the generator becomes self-sufficient. But was the added harmonics a byproduct of tampering with a well-balanced harmonic device? Or was it a desired effect? The generator is still on the site, though pieces are missing. I wonder what it would take to get it running again?
I try to stay out of these religious basis conversations, however recent articles and conversations has led me back to the keyboard. The question is why does faith always lead to intolerance? before I start blasting on faith let me explain my position, I am not an Atheist, an Atheist must know more that I do. However I will not accept a book, collection of oral histories from many different cultures over a vast period of time, as being the one true word of God. While I don’t label myself as Faithful, I do believe in a designed order of the universe. And no you are not the center of it. So I have to ask myself why do those of faith show so much intolerance? Just the other day as I was scanning through a faith-based story on the internet, I also scan the comments. One comment in particular caught my attention, the poster was crying foul over all the “Atheists” judging Christians, the christian then cites the bible on passing judgment. Typical Christian response. The Christian then closes with all non believers will burn, etc. Hmmm, he displays anger at being judged, then closes by passing judgment. The hypocrisy of faith is immeasurable and the damage it has caused is irreparable. It was faith in God that lead Jim Jones and his followers into mass suicide. It was faith in God that drove David Koresh and his branch Davidian suicide. The faith in God was behind every lynching, in this country. Faith of God rests in every war and atrocity the U.S. has ever committed. Faith in God drives the greed and power of the corrupt church. Faith in God drives Fred Phelps to protest funerals of fallen soldiers. Faith in God gives Phelps the right to spread hate and intolerance. Faith of God drives men like Phelps to slander God. Faith in God feeds hate intolerance and exclusion. Faith in God leads us to only more pain, more sorrow and more greed. A world with out God is a world closer together.
The other day I found myself in a conversation with a few friends. CNN had just ran its hourly quota of gulf news coverage. That coverage sparked a debate amongst us about environmental disasters, which ultimately ran into climate change. I’ll call my friends Steve and Rick. Both are moderately conservative and both moderately religious. I only say that because even their moderate religious beliefs play an instrumental role in their political, social and environmental views. Steve begins the debate by saying that crude is just a necessary evil we have to contend with in order to maintain our way of life. Now this is a big deal, wars have been fought, just to maintain ‘Way of Life’ Steve then goes on to ask of us, “Do we just throw away 50 years of technology simply because some scientists say what we’re doing is wrong?” And Steve’s point is that not all environmental scientists agree with man-made climate change. And as Steve pointed out, that just the Iceland’s Eyjafjoell volcano is emitting more co2 daily than all the S UV’s in the world. And that is true. It is also true that the oceans contain over 34,000 gigatonnes of carbon. On top of the 2,000 3,000gts of co2 in the biomass. So with humans contributing a paltry 26gt. This opens it up for Rick to jump in. No surprise to me that Rick backs up Steve with another interesting fact. Global Warming is happening all over the solar system. So that would imply the sun has more to do with our climate change than anything we do. And again I can’t argue that. Its true the sun goes through 11-15 year cycles called solar maximum, and most likely a great contributor to Climate Change. SO now it was my turn. I first addressed Steve’s misinformed information about the need for oil. There are no such things as necessary evils. And we do not need crude oil for anything at all. The more than 25,000 products made from crude, can be made just as easy and a lot cheaper from hemp. The reason it isn’t is a matter of simple greed. And the Oil lobbyists makes sure the moral compass in America points away from hemp. Now for the front line assault. While I have to concede that their points are valid, they really didn’t think their argument out so well. Lets accept that Eyjafjoell does emit more co2 daily than all the S UV’s that still doesn’t account for the other 300 million vehicles on the road. And as far as the vast amounts of CO2 released by nature as compared by man. Remember the natural cycles of release and absorptions are regulating by nature. Yes there are periods where the earth releasing more co2 than it can absorb, however those always follow periods of light release and the rate of absorption is able to regulate the CO2 levels. When we add to that, we are heavily contributing to the imbalance. And we continue to do this right through each Solar Maximum. So each period of natural imbalance is being further imbalanced by our actions. Which is why the co2 is at levels not seen in 800,000 years. While on the surface it may not seem like we are contributing all that much, what we are contributing is upsetting the balance. Why can’t we make the switch back to hemp based products and fuels? The answer came to me from another friend in a completely different conversation. People can no longer tell the difference between actual needs and instant gratification.
After 48 hours of testing the new experimental cap seems to be holding back all the oil from gushing into the Gulf. Thats good news. But not we’re not out of the woods yet. The danger now is the fear of pressure building up behind the cap and blowing out the pipe under the sea floor. Making it near impossible to find and cap. But for now lets take a collective moment and just thank the powers that be, that for now there is no more oil flowing into the Gulf. Giving us just a little more peace of mind. And now that the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history is contained we all want to know whose ass do we kick? We start with BP. They ignored tons of warning signs from both their employees and their contractors. BP was far from truthful in their scope of the disaster and their ability to contain it. Not to mention that BP permit only allowed them to drill down to 18,500 ft. BP drilled to about 30,000 ft. Then we have the inspectors and government officials who didn’t know what was going on because they didn’t want to know. The government deregulated the industry. Pretty much begged BP to drill, and then turned a blind eye to the possibilities of a blow out. The same tired argument is playing out here that played out with the Exxon Valdez disaster. The probability we will see another disaster like this again is very small. Anyone know how many more tankers have ruptured their hulls and spilled their oil since the Exxon? It’s a lot more than a few. So why is this allowed to continue? Simple the offending parties are the Big Oil Industry and the Big government Industry of the Republicans. How can we be 100% sure nothing like this will ever happen again? We can’t, the Government can’t guarantee it neither can the Oil companies. But we can if we just stop drilling. I mean we have to be the Dumbest most ignorant Society in all the annals of history. I mean we extract the oil from the ground. Which alone costs tens of millions of dollars in man hours and equipment to accomplish. And we’re told we can’t live without it. Again Hemp has always been that wonder plant. The Hemp plant can be used to make over 25,000 products that are currently being produced with crude. This includes lubricants, fuel and most importantly plastics. Both the Biodegradable and non biodegradable kinds. Not to mention the plastic can also be made into high density plastic and can replace steel in many applications. The sad truth is crude replaced hemp in all these applications, nearly a hundred years ago. Why? Greed plain and simple. We can’t wait another 50 years, or until we completely deplete all the fossil fuels. We need to change it now. Its simple, by harvesting and refining hemp to produce those more than 25,000 products, we will put a lot of farmers back to work. Refiners would require new equipment, putting more people back to work. Will I see this in my life time? Not a chance.
It was bound to happen. The racist elements of the Tea Party Express came to light in brilliant display for all to see. This coming from the founder of the Tea Party itself. After a week of trading insults with the NAACP Williams posted extremely racist and stupid musings on his website, which has since been taken down and Williams has issued an apology. But yet a much bigger concern for me is their collective attitude that only their opinions and needs mean anything. And yet that still isn’t the biggest issues the party must face. The Biggest issue they have as a collective is their own hypocrisy. The Tea Party demands an immigration crack down. Yet a vast majority of the small and medium business owners are these same people clambering for reform. Reform would go a lot smoother if our businesses here would stop hiring illegal immigrants. Then on top of all that these same people are fueling the growing animosity aimed at the Unemployed. Again how many jobs could we free up just by enforcing our borders and making our small and medium businesses hire only American citizens or those with proper work visa’s. Just doing that would bring unemployment below the double-digit mark. Yet I do not see them knocking themselves over to get this done. Besides border control and immigration, they strongly favor tax reform. This is tea party code for, leave Bush’s tax cuts alone, leave our tax shelters alone. Leave our tax loopholes alone. The fact is for the last few decades maybe longer the tax burden has always been on the middle class. Not by sheer number but by percentage of earning paid out in taxes. The Tea Party does not want this to change. In fact they want to pay less taxes than their paying now. Here’s an interesting figure, for every 12 houses valued at 100,000 or less one is in fore closer. For houses valued at a million dollars or more that number is seven to one. Yet these same people who make up the Tea Party are the ones pointing the finger at everyone but themselves. For years they paid virtually no taxes on their true worth, and claim the unemployed are leaching from the system. They Employ all the illegal immigrants the government fails to stop at the border, and point their fingers at us. They carried the majority of the debt when the markets crash and they blame the real tax payers of irresponsibility. Their excessive greed caused the market to crash and again they point their fingers at us. Its time to throw the brakes on this express and send it back to its berth.
Today Interior Secretary Ken Salazar issued a new moratorium on deep water drilling. The Obama administration said the pause in drilling was essential in protecting the communities and the environment from the risks that deep water drilling currently poses. This is not a liberal or conservative issue, this is not a Democrat republican issue. This is a simple matter of science. The science has proven over and a again that all drilling is fundamentally hazardous, this is exponentially greater in deep water. Any one that doesn’t believe this just needs to turn on any cable news channel, mute the sound and just watch the oil flow into the gulf. But much more than saving the environment, we free ourselves from having to deal with what is truly the lowest class of people amongst us today. BP is just the latest example of this kind of character. How many lies did BP resort to before the truth became too big to contain? Was it any different that the lies spread by Exxon in the wake of their 1989 catastrophe? Then we see the environmental damage Big Oil has caused in third world countries all over the world. But none more criminal than the current disaster that is occurring right now in Nigeria. Nearly all the old pipelines leak profusely, yet without a strong Government to force these people to fix their problems and clean up their mess, they don’t, as long as more oil gets to the tanks than on the ground, it’s just business as usual. And when these native people speak out against the Oil companies, they are more often than not met with violence by the Oil Companies security forces. This is not just big oil this also includes the natural gas companies as well. My grand father always told me that a mans character is no stronger than the mans word. If the mans word is good then the man is of good character if the mans word is no good then so to the mans character. And this is an industry that has been actively poisoning us with their product, the byproduct, the chemicals and processes they employ, and lastly through their carelessness and callousness. Then they lie to cover up their shortcoming. My challenge is if this industry is so safe, why was the clean air and clean water acts such an inhibition to their daily operations? This is no more apparent than with Hydraulic Fracturing. The whole procedure is deadly to all forms of life and leaves utter devastation where ever a well is fracked. From tap water bursting in flames due to toxic natural gas contaminating natural wells, water so toxic that you can not even bath in it for fear of poisoning. And the industry claims the process is safe. But what is completely unacceptable is the Government to allow these processes to continue to affect the people and the environment the way they do. Take Cabot Oil and Gas, in several cases where they have Fracked a well and contaminated the drinking water. In every one of these cases Cabot as denied the allegations and claim the water is safe to drink. In many instances such as Dimmick Pa. Where water came out of the tape looking like watered down crude and smelling like turpentine, told towns people to their faces that it there was nothing wrong with their water. They would not drink it themselves but they will tell a mother of 3 small children her flammable chemical smelling water is safe for her little ones to drink. That takes a new kind of low. But this is the industry standard. And they are allowed to continue business as usual because they are exempt from the clean air and clean water acts. They do not even have to inform the residents near wells on publicly leased land of they practices, And when ground water gets contaminated the E.P.A. can not even investigate. And given all this unilateral freedom, the Oil and Gas Companies have once again shown that they are completely unable to police themselves. Like in anywhere else the Oil and Gas companies have operated, they will do what they want how they want and to hell with the people their process effects. Even if they complied to the clean air and clean water act tomorrow, it would be too late. The time has come for the Oil and Gas industry go the way of American manufacturing. And we do it in the same fashion. We just pull the plug and the whole thing. To fill our current oil glut we immediately take the government restrictions and additives on the Ethanol and other alternatives, to fill the need short-term needs while we swing into the electric age once and for all. Current cars can be converted to Electric, Electric/hybrids or even compressed air. The conversion to electric will also spur more jobs, as we will need to build an infrastructure for the alternative cars. And just about everything including plastic can be made with one natural renewable source, Hemp. That’s right that plague of humanity is actually our wonder fiber. And guess what every refinery in America can be converted over to produce fuel, plastic, lubricants, clothes, paper, you name it hemp can do it. What are we waiting for here. Just pull the plug, chances are there’s enough hemp growing in the US right now to fill our needs until we can build the infrastructure around it.
years ago a common interview question was “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” In other words do you have a long term plan or do you just live day by day? And even as hard as it is to see ourselves 5 years down the road in very uncertain times. We still need to have a plan, now more than ever. The uncertainty however makes the planning even more difficult. With the unstable economy the escalating costs of living we must make some fundamental changes in our live styles. We need a plan. The first thing we need to do is detail the desired outcome of the plan. If the desired outcome is to become filthy rich, I can’t help you. If the desired outcome is to become as independent as possible there I may be of some assistance. The first part of the plan, or year one is the most important step. We need to analyze and isolate all unneeded spending. This is key, we need to train ourselves to do with less. The key is less material items, we can still enjoy a comfortable life in a comfortable home, surrounded by those things that spark pleasure within us. We just have to learn to live with less of them. But the materialism is just a part of the first step. We must also analyze our energy consumption and again train ourselves to use less. The whole goal of year one is to bring the cost of living down to a manageable level. While we are training ourselves to do with less, we also need to find that hidden talent we all have at one thing or another. We then need to hone that talent whatever it is. We hone it and put it to work for us. It doesn’t matter that you aren’t able to quit your day job. The important thing is the time you spend honing your specific talent is less time you would be spending on materialistic things or sitting in front of the TV through another droll sitcom. Once we identified our talents honed our talents, now we put our talents to work. An example of this would be a close friend of mine I’ll call Terry for sake of privacy reasons. After a hitch in the Armed forces terry took a decent paying job as a fork lift driver and worked his way up to materials manager. When he was displaced when the plant closed and moved to China, he was in the same boat as myself. I had already began my five year plan. I told him what Im telling you know, find that one thing you have a talent for and use it. Well it turns out Terry is pretty pretty decent programmer. However since he had never put anything out there he was afraid. Once he overcame that fear we wiped up a free bee website. A online resume if you will. Within a week he gets noticed. Now he is happily plugging away at his key board from his home office. he doesn’t make much maybe $1,200 a month if he’s lucky most months its closer to half that. But he states that he has never been happier in his life. Though Terry is even further along in the plan than I am. The Weasel. But we both found that one hidden talent, and we are putting it to work for yourselves. And we have both trained ourselves to use less and want less.
If you spend any time these days combing through the stories events over the internet, you will find no shortage of comments from the conservative base. A few of these are just Obama hating nut jobs, I just pass these people over as not having much more sense than my garden Gnome. However there are a few comments that truly set me off. These all center around the chronic unemployed, and the inherent laziness empowered by unemployment benefits. As I said before, where are these jobs we’re not taking? I will tell you the reality of things. The only jobs being turned down in favor of benefits are those jobs that don’t pay as much as the benefits. Are expected to take less money just to go back to work? How does even a modest family of three, make ends meet on benefits? they don’t but the conservative republican base would have them take even more money out of their pocket. Then the word comes down the wire that INS is taking a new approach to dealing with the illegal immigration problem. By auditing the businesses suspected of hiring Illegals. And man did the forums blow up over this. Most of it was the conservative base blasting this as a witch hunt to punish the small businesses in America. This got me thinking. Over the years I have met a lot of small business owners in my home town. Some I have gotten to know quite well, well enough to know that all of them, the ones I know personally are all Republican Conservatives. So with a quick bit of fact checking it turns out (no surprise) that a vast majority of the small and medium business owners in the U.S. are Republican Conservatives. So follow me on this. The Democrats won’t fix immigration because they are trying to build a political base out of them. The republicans wont fix immigration because they will lose a good chunk of their cheap labor force. But that’s not even my point. Here we have the tea party toting the conservative view, immigration reform, tax reform, government reform, etc. But behind closed doors, it’s the republican conservative base exploiting the illegals for cheap labor. The real truth is in the last 30 years the republicans have been President for 20 of them. If they truly wanted reform, it would have happened by now. And if there is no doubt it was the greed of the republican conservatives that crashed the labor and stock markets. How many hedge fund managers guilty of excessive greed were Liberals? I don’t know either but I bet a safe common sense guess would be very few, if any. if that’s not a convincing number check this one out. for every 12 houses valued at 100,000 or less, 1 is in fore closer. For houses over a million its 1 in 7. And Bush called the middle class irresponsible. But what all these mean is that the conservative blow back against the unemployed is nothing more than their fear at losing their lives of excess and greed. And speaking of excess and greed as I reported in my previous post. How many of these conservative republican business owners will take Obama’s jobs money, without actually growing any jobs? Remember Bush’s tax cuts aimed at boosting the auto industry by giving out tax breaks for purchasing new company Vehicles, which would increase hiring drivers? Well my boss got the tax break. He bought himself a new hummer, and no he didn’t hire a chauffeur.
